As you might know, my mission with Uluuh Jewelry is to create pieces that are both beautiful and purposeful—designed to support calm, focus, and self-expression. One of my favourite pieces for this is the Be Present Band Ring




The Story Behind It.

As a one-woman business with a busy mind, I can’t count how many times I’ve been physically in a moment while my thoughts were miles away. Has that ever happened to you? Perhaps during demanding times?

When I realized I was doing this over and over—especially with my kids, the ones I love most—I knew I had to find a way to shift. I wanted to be truly present, not just physically there. That’s when I explored the concept of prompting, a technique that uses external cues to shift focus and bring awareness back to the moment.

Sticky notes and phone alarms didn’t quite work for me, but tactile stimulation did. I needed something discreet, stylish, and functional—and that’s how the idea (and name) of the Be Present Band Ring was born.




How it Works.

The Be Present Band Ring is designed based on principles of attentional shifting, mindfulness, and sensory modulation—helping bring awareness back to the present moment in a simple yet effective way.

  • The Pressure Point: This small, raised point on the ring provides a distinct touch sensation when pressed. This immediate physical "nudge" helps shift attention away from racing thoughts or mental distractions and onto the external world, creating space for a more intentional response.
  • The Signature Pattern: This tactile texture provides gentle sensory input, offering a grounding experience that can be soothing during moments of stress or overstimulation. For those who appreciate subtle sensory input, having a controlled and predictable experience like this can be especially helpful.

Together, these two elements work by activating your exteroception (external sensory awareness), helping your brain reset focus and regulate emotions in a natural way.




How to Use it.

For the best experience, try these simple ways to use your ring throughout the day:

  1. Refocus your mind. When you catch yourself zoning out, gently press the pressure point. This quick sensation acts as a novel stimulus, grabbing your attention and helping you reset.
  2. Ease stress & mental overwhelm. If intense emotions start to rise, press the pressure point while taking a slow, deep breath. This simple act pairs tactile stimulation with breathwork, reinforcing a calming response over time.
  3. Use sensory grounding. Run your fingers over the textured pattern whenever you need a soothing, repetitive motion to help regulate stress or overstimulation.
